What a way to kick off our campaign with a strong 2-0 away win over the Wanderers.
After a 0 – 0 first half… the breakthrough finally came in the 70th minute. Giorgio Speranza unleashed a thunderous strike from well outside the area that flew into the corner of the net, putting Rockdale Ilinden ahead 1 – 0.
Barely a minute later, we doubled our advantage in style. Our new skipper, Brandon Cholakian executed a perfectly weighted chip, drawing an ovation from teammates and supporters alike as the points were effectively sealed 2 – 0.
